Emily in the New Studio

As some of you are aware, Art of Photography recently moved. This has meant setting up a new studio, including setting up the lighting. This is easily my favorite thing. I would do nothing but portraits if there was a client base to support that.
Emily is my assistant. Her career started as a styrofoam wig dummy. Later, she would branch out into make up tester and finally studio lighting model. She is patience but demanding, always keeping me on my toes. She has scars and flaws but that is one of the important skills a photographer can develop; to learn to minimize the undesirable and accent the positive. Anyway, here are the results of the lighting tests and some post-processing foolishness.
